Senior Leasing Manager (Commercial Real Estate)
Position Summary
Reporting to the SVP, Leasing, the Senior Leasing Manager is responsible for driving leasing performance across a diversified portfolio of retail and mixed-use assets, including fund-owned investments, core income-producing properties, and select development projects.
The role focuses on maximizing asset value through strategic leasing, tenant curation, and disciplined deal execution, while supporting both portfolio-level performance and investor and ownership objectives where applicable.
This position operates at the intersection of leasing, asset management, and investment strategy, ensuring leasing decisions enhance income stability, long-term value, and overall portfolio performance across different ownership structures.
This position offers exposure to both fund-driven investments and directly managed operating assets, providing a broader and more hands-on leasing platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute leasing strategies aligned with asset business plans and portfolio and investment performance targets
- Source, negotiate, and complete lease transactions that enhance asset value and long-term income stability
- Structure deals to optimize net effective rent, tenant quality, and risk-adjusted returns
- Contribute to achieving or exceeding underwriting and budget assumptions
- Identify opportunities to drive NOI growth and reduce vacancy
- Work closely with internal departments to implement leasing and capital strategies
- Build and maintain strong relationships with tenants and brokers
- Review tenant financials and support deal underwriting and investment materials
- Collaborate with Development, Property Management, Legal, and Finance teams
- Maintain accurate leasing pipeline reporting and performance tracking
- Attend industry events to promote Trinity properties
Qualifications & Experience
- Post-secondary education in Real Estate, Business, or related field
- 6–8+ years of commercial leasing experience (retail preferred)
- Experience in an institutional or owner-operator environment is an asset
- Strong understanding of leasing strategy, lease underwriting and investment fundamentals
- Proven track record of executing leasing transactions
