Ottawa’s Lansdowne 2.0 redevelopment is officially underway, with phase 1 construction commencing in January 2026 following City Council’s approval of the $418.8 million project in 2025.
Work is currently advancing on the new event centre, which will bring a 6,600-seat venue to the eastern side of the stadium and serve as a modern home for concerts, sports, and community events. This phase also includes the early groundwork that will support the broader transformation of the north side of TD Place within Lansdowne Park.
Phase 2 of the redevelopment will deliver a 12,400-seat rebuilt north-side stand and two residential towers developed by Mirabella Development Corporation. The towers are expected to introduce approximately 770 residential units, including condominiums, rental housing, and hotel accommodation.
The project will strengthen Lansdowne Live as Ottawa’s premier destinations for retail and entertainment, living, and community gathering. The new event centre remains on track for completion in 2028, followed by phase 2 encompassing the redevelopment of the north-side stands between 2028 and 2031.
Lansdowne 2.0 continues to represent a major long-term investment in the growth and revitalization of this iconic Glebe District in Ottawa.
