On November 7, 2025, Ottawa City Council approved the $419M Lansdowne 2.0 redevelopment plan, marking the next phase in the evolution of this iconic retail, sports, and entertainment destination in the heart of the Glebe.
The redevelopment includes a new 5,850-seat event centre on the east side of the stadium, new 12,400-seat north-side stands, and two mixed-use towers featuring approximately 770 new units, including condominiums, rentals, and hotel accommodations. The tower podiums will introduce an additional 56,000 SF of flagship street-level retail, enabling an expanded mix of destination retail, food and beverage, and entertainment offerings.
Mayor Mark Sutcliffe described the approval as an important milestone for Ottawa’s long-term growth and for the future of the Lansdowne district.
Mobilization and construction of the event centre have already begun, with completion targeted for 2028. Work on the new north-side stands and mixed-use towers is expected to run from 2028 through 2030.
Lansdowne 2.0 represents a significant investment in the continued revitalization of one of Canada’s most unique urban destinations.
